From "Diversification of Genes" to "Successful Business Models"

Since the early studies of biology, we know that children of a spouse, whose genes are so different, will be much more successful (powerful, desirable,...) in the nature.
This approach is applicable to all living things; the more diverse gene pool you have, the more healthy successors you have.

This led me to apply this approach to Business, and to Business Models. And I am sure that somebody already applied this approach decades ago :)

What if I mate two different successful business models?
Will I be able to have a more successful business model? Or the result will be the Hunchback of Notre Dame?
